Chun “solo” in China earning billions

[12 May 2010 - translated]

Pond's

According to many fair ladies from many cities, recently when they are washing their faces, they saw an unidentified flying object outside their window. A recent Pond’s facial cleanser advertisement reveals the answer – the unidentified flying object is actually many girls’ Prince Charming, Wu Chun, who flies close to their window and says ‘hi’.

This advertisement is reportedly Chun’s first solo advertisement in China, and advertising activities are held in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan over the same period. Pond’s not only invited Chun to be its ambassador, they also specially tailored a 15-second TV advertisement for Chun. The overall advertisement income is far above billions of Taiwanese dollars. As the best-developing artiste in Fahrenheit, Chun’s assets increased dramatically, giving rise to rumours that he may break solo from Fahrenheit. With a “pretty boy” image, the reason for Chun’s ‘first time’ promoting ladies’ skincare products is attributed to his strong attractiveness. This time, Pond’s chose Chun because of his exquisite fair skin often praised by fans as “fairer than girls” and healthy, sculptured fitness trainer’s body that is the envy of men. It is this Wu Chun, who combines a sunny image and maturity, that makes him the best ambassador.

Fahrenheit Spins $2m In A Single Appearance

Fahrenheit Spins $2m In A Single Appearance
May 12, 2010

We’re not choosing sides, but replacing F4 with the younger, handsome foursome of Fahrenheit is a sure money-spinning move.

Returning for a second stint as Taiwan’s tourism ambassadors to Korea and Japan, boyband Fahrenheit topped themselves by bringing in approximately NT$45 million (S$2 million) in a single appearance at Fulong, Taiwan.

The tourism bureau dropped tradition and organized a massive outdoor barbecue party for fans this year, with Fahrenheit as guests, and the group will also lead a tour to Hualien in October.

The refreshing concept was too good to resist and more than 1,000 participants signed up for the tour packages.

With this event, the singer-actors, consisting Wu Chun, Aaron Yan, Calvin Chen and Jiro Wang, also crushed criticism that they had earned endorsement fees of NT$8 million (S$350,000) last year for just lending their faces to the campaign.

NEW WU CHUN FEVER… SOON!

Isn’t that great?

Alright! I finally got a hold of the owner (she was busy, like me) of this website and now, you’ll see some new changes bit by bit in the website including the site layout.

If you guys will take a closer look at the site, you’ll notice that 14 Blades in the Projects area at the left part is there because before, it was just until Butterfly Lovers. I know it’s a very minor change but at least it’s a step, right?

So, before I end this message, I’d like you guys to tell me how you would want the layout to look like and what you want to see on the website by writing some comments. I need you to think, think, think for some ideas and hopefully, we’ll be able to put some fun and great stuff on the site.

Thank you and love you!

Charaze :-)

Wu Chun Spends Mother’s Day With Bandmates and Fans

The members of Fahrenheit celebrated Mother’s Day with 1000 fans from Japan and Korea at the Fulong Beach. It has been 7 years since Wu Chun’s mother passed away, but he was especially thankful to be working, because “fortunately (I) didn’t have to spend the day alone at home, (or else) I would start imagining things.” The atmosphere turned awkward when one of the reporters asked him what he bought his mom during their interview.

Rainie Yang Thinks Wu Chun Is Too Pretty

‘Princess of Cute’ Rainie Yang is scared of Wu Zun’s good lucks! The two will collaborate in new idol drama ‘陽光小妹’ (lit trans: Sunshine Girl’) in May. Upon knowing that her new co-star would be Wu Zun, Rainie admitted that she had been looking forward to working with him for a long time, but her first reaction was: “I’m dead! He’s even prettier than me! Will other people think he’s the female lead?” The 2 have not formally met yet, and already Rainie is worried that her own beauty is not up to par with his.

14 Blades Wins Best Fight Scene At ActionFest

14 Blades Starring Donnie Yen and Wu Chun

Congratulations to Wu Chun and the rest of those who are part of the movie “14 Blades” directed by Daniel Lee.

At the first ever ActionFest in Asheville, NC,  an awards ceremony was held wherein Chuck Norris turned down his award and instead gave it to his brother, Aaron Norris, an action filmmaker. Aaron later dedicated the trophy to action industry’s unsung heroes that includes stuntmen, stunt choreographers, and 2nd Unit Directors.

Co-founder of ActionFest, Bill Banowsky stated, ““I’m grateful we’ve created an event that celebrates these behind the scenes professionals who put the “action” in action movies.” He also regarded that this is a recognition long overdue.

I’d also want to congratulate the other winners since they really deserve each award as much as “14 Blades”.

BEST FIGHT SCENE – “14 Blades” – Teahouse battle between Green Dragon (Donnie Yen) and the Judge of the Sky Eagles (Chun Wu).
Dir: Daniel Lee (“Black Mask,” “Dragon Squad”)

To LOVE, we must CHANGE!

Finally, a well deserved break for me during the CNY :-)

‘Well-deserved’?

Yeah… been busy most of the time esp. during the last quarter of year 2009, I thought I deserved a long break in 2010 and that was it!!!

Fitness Zone needed me, my family needed me and GKC needed Wu Chun coz GKC has got huge responsibilities in Brunei!

As you guys know, I’ve always loved family gatherings and lucky enough I was able to celebrate my niece’s birthday and even had CNY reunion dinner with all my relatives! Not only that, I was able to spend a well-planned Day 1 of CNY in Brunei and the rest of the days holidaying in Melbourne with my family!!! 很窩心 :-) The 2 weeks break made me feel like I have lived another 2 years as everyday was so precious to me as rarely could I have chances like this since being an artist!
