Fahrenheit returned to Taiwan yesterday after ending a three-day marathon album promotion trip to Malaysia. Today, they immediately held a press conference for the 2009 Fantasy Concert Tour and announced that after Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Singapore and Malaysia, they will finally returning to Taipei for their 10th and 11th performance taking place at the Taipei Arena on Oct 24th and Oct 25th.

To hold a ticket-selling concert in their hometown was of great significance to Fahrenheit. They expressed that they must announce this good news to their fans in person. Even Jiro who was ill and pale insisted in attending the press conference before rushing off to see the doctor. The staff was also worried that Jiro might have been infected with H1N1 and made a special trip to buy a thermometer to ensure that Jiro was not running a fever before allowing him to attend the press conference. Wu Chun shared: [It is probably because these three days in Malaysia, our schedule was so tight that we almost didn’t have any time to sleep so our immunity system is weaker.]

When the Fantasy concert was held overseas, the marvelous performances, extravagant costumes and costly prop all received high accolades from fans. The interactions between those onstage and in the audience heated up the atmosphere. For this 10th performance in Taipei, Fahrenheit indicated that it would be just as good as the previous performances. In addition to having segments that were well-received by fans and the gigantic and extravagant hot-balloons appearing in the Taipei Arena, in consideration of all the fans in the audience so that everyone could interact with Fahrenheit, the organizers even spend big bucks to create three catwalks that are 20 feet long at the left, right and center of the stage so that the fans could come in close contact with Fahrenheit. Fahrenheit also took the opportunity to urge the fans to sing-along at the time instead of simply screaming and taking pictures. Wu Chun in particular urged: [I want to feel what it would be like to sing-along with over 10,000 fans. Surely it would be very HIGH.]

Other than new designs for the stage and props, the individual talent segment for Fahrenheit would also be more elaborate to showcase their talents even better. The self-proclaimed B-Box expert Calvin Chen expressed: [My B-Box instructor even praised me in his blog that my ability to absorb and learn is as strong as a tampon. Therefore everyone should definitely anticipate our individual showing.] Other members who were also currently working with a tight schedule also expressed their determined ambition: [We will find time to practice even if it means we can’t sleep. Although it would be a bit tiring but that is OK.]

Given Fahrenheit’s strong money making power, the concert in Taipei Arena attracted many sponsors. With regards to holding two concerts in a row in Taipei, Arron Yan shared: [We are not worried about ticket sales. Tickets for the Taipei concerts didn’t go on sale until May 30th but today during the press conference, many fans already brought their tickets for us to autograph.] That was an indication of the high popularity and selling ability of Fahrenheit.

During the press conference, to show their appreciation to Fahrenheit and as an indication on the importance they placed on the concert, representatives from the organizer as well as various sponsors specially presented Fahrenheit with gifts such as ginseng gift box and crystal goblets.
