Right from the beginning of year 2010, I had such a tight schedule, did so much traveling and experienced so much!

Am I happy with that?

Oh yeah… Definitely!

First of all, the Asia Star Award in Korea is a big motivation for me this year… Next, our Fahrenheit activities in many cities whereby we had so much fun with all of you! And then jobs keep piling up with my movie promotional activities with you guys giving me ’so so so’ much support… Majority turned up at the activities giving me power while some of you giving me spiritual support through the web! Furthermore, I am so touched to see my fans club gathered with so many members watching the movie and at the same time, contributing a portion of the ticket sales to charity…Like me, you guys love to go for that ‘extra mile’ huh? I am so proud of you guys… Simply awesome

Honestly, these 2 months has really been tiring for me! It was the 1st time thinking that I’m not superman anymore… haha! There isn’t much energy left for me physically and mentally and I guess most of you have noticed this from my tiredness Finally, I could take a break now and I came to realise and notice one thing recently - Being busy, stressful or tired is a good thing and its something that we can overcome and should not be afraid to experience at all! It’s not easy but I think going through difficult tasks let people feel being contented more easily! 有辛苦才有幸福, right? TRY IT

Of course, I’m a little more fortunate than you guys because during my 辛苦的過程中，I have my super guardian angels giving me power endlessly! 你們真的給我很多幸福… Thanks so much and i appreciate the love and support you guys gave me and I hope to return by giving more happiness to all of you too I had a feeling that things will go well for me this year and i am going to cherish every moments and do my best and hopefully, i wont let you all down ok

Before the interview heard the night before Wu Chun returned from the mainland, this month he only has 5 days to stop in Taiwan, the rest of the time will be in the mainland flying around, I would think he’s seen a lot of different sceneries, but he said he’s mainly spent most of the time practicing at the set, after the performance he has to leave immediately to other cities. Today its also an early interview job, worried that his body will not able to digest, but he said because he over worked earlier, he slept deeply the night before once he returned home, now his energy is looking pretty good, but in his speech you can hear some tiredness. It’s been 5 years since he’s entered the industry, even though he misses home he is now used to the busyness from one place to another, then to awake in an unfamiliar city, though he does not get bed sick of his own bed, he does sleep more in peace in his own home. But any corner with a Chinese world, there still too many fans waiting for him to appear, not able to stay in each area too long, flying closely with the itinerary, his distressed fans are starting to call him “Super Man”.

Hearing of this, Wu Chun exposed a smile; he excitedly said since young he has always loved heroes and super man, likes to help others, the feeling of making others happy. Just like in the movies like superman, his appearance has also included screams, but he doesn’t have to wear the little red pants to hold up the fallen buildings or to catch a falling woman, he only needs to smile, then he’ll save all those that have waiting. But to be “Super Man” it’s not easy; any time any where there could be emergencies, this title is more like expectations, not only to satisfy the waiting fans, he also has many things he wants to do, perform in movies and idol dramas, produce albums as well in the future to get into publication, with his highly balanced flight to fulfill the job, and in such a state of tension, he actually said he’s satisfied.

Transformation to Super Man

In the past, he was the young son attached to home, after high school graduation he was sent to Australia to study, but due to home sick he returned to Brunei himself, despite his mother missing him, still wanted him to return to school to be responsible and independent. He used 1 year’s time to adjust his mood then returned to Australia to finish his studies, after graduation he suddenly found out the news that his mother had cancer, quickly returned to his homeland, during his mother’s illness he saw how life was gradually draining, the feeling of hopelessness, has changed his attitude towards life, “I was really afraid when my mother had to leave, I can imagine if I had to die today, would be really afraid and not know where to go, her leaving has left me the that feeling of her fear. So I’ve become more daring, at worst death, the most is just to fail only.”

Wu Chun really likes the Piaget watch, considering if he should get it for his father

Filming “14 Blades”, has caused Wu Chun’s life to open many windows. For talent; he’s learnt horse back riding, knowledge of martial arts, for vision; having grown up in the hot climate country Brunei he has a memorable experience in Yin Chuan’s yellow desert of rolling sand, for relationship; when Wu Chun’s father visited him in China during filming, seeing him riding the horse handsomely, he asked initiatively to take a picture together, that was the first time since he’s entered the industry where he felt “My father is proud because he has me as a son.”

To enter the big silver screens has always been Wu Chun’s dream, but because his road to his dream has been too smooth, it has changed his life plans. Two years ago, meaningfully hinted, did not want to be away from his family for a long time, even if it means not being an artists, leaving the entertainment industry wouldn’t matter.

But after he accepted filming “Butterfly Lovers”, “14 Blades”, he said: “I’m very lucky, so I must take advantage of this opportunity.” Movies has since given him enthusiasm towards his acting career, and has caused him to spread his star charisma, shooting star taste, he was wearing Lanvin with Piaget, making a pose shows his big class status.

Actually when filming “14 Blades”, Wu Chun encountered many setbacks. But concerned about his family, Wu Chun said, in the past his father insisted his father dignity, their father son relationship was not close, but while filming in China for the 1.5 month, his father would call him in the middle of the night about 1-2 AM.

HIM Records is into its 10th year, and held its grand annual year-end dinner in Taipei the day before, to show appreciation to its dedicated workers. As HIM always value their end-year celebration very much, and in order to allow all artistes to attend, they have scheduled for the event half a year ago, resulting in rejecting many commercial performances and publicity activities. HIM spokesperson said, “Our company values the tradition of holding the year-end dinner very much. This is possibly the only time within a day all our artistes can gather for a celebration. Hence despite the opportunity costs involved, we have to reject many performance invitations.” On the day of the celebrations, Judy Zhou Ding Wei was having high fever and flu, and had to even go to the hospital to be put on drip. But he still rushed back to the celebrations to show his support. Although he was not feeling well, he still put on a good performance to bring up the mood of the event.

HIM’s Rock Band – Power Station and Heavenly Female Pop Group – S.H.E, have grown with the company over the years. Fans eagerly anticipating seeing the hunky Wu Chun topless in his newest movie will be disappointed. The most the Taiwanese singer-actor from boyband Fahrenheit will expose in period blockbuster, 14 Blades, is his navel region.

In town recently to promote the movie, Hong Kong director Daniel Lee said that including the former gym instructor in his diverse cast just to have him go topless would be very low-grade. The movie also stars Donnie Yen, Zhao Wei, Kate Tsui and Singapore’s own movie star Qi Yuwu.

Set in the late Ming era, the movie centres on the imperial court where a power-hungry eunuch tries to topple the Emperor by buying over the incumbent’s elite team of secret agents. One loyalist (Donnie Yen) is betrayed and then hunted by his former colleagues.

Even during the pre-production stages, the film received a lot of attention with its muscled male stars of Donnie and Wu Chun.

With previous reports having stated that Donnie now surpasses fellow Hong Kong actor Tony Leung in average paycheck per movie, Daniel indirectly confirmed that the martial arts superstar earned HK$16 million (S$2.9 million) for his role in 14 Blades. “This is his appeal, and the price tag only signals his box-office credentials. With him, it’s definitely worth it.”

There were also reports which quoted Daniel, who helmed flicks like A Fighter’s Blues, Black Mask, and Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon, saying it would be a pity not to exhibit Wu Chun’s well-known, sculpted body.

He vehemently refuted that point, saying, “If I want more skin I wouldn’t be doing something as difficult as wuxia.”

He praised Wu Chun as a very good and professional actor, and hopes that audiences will appreciate his portrayal of a bandit in the film.

On Qi Yuwu, the Guangdong-born, Singapore-based actor who plays a villain going after Donnie’s character, Daniel feels he is more than a straightforward baddie. “He’s a tragic character who goes through a lot of internal struggles.”

The director added that he is very pleased with Yuwu’s performance. “I’ve known him since 2000. He’s a very sensitive actor, which is why he’s most suited for this genre, as he’s good at understanding a different era. Plus his size and build is just right for the role.”

14 Blades, jointly distributed by MediaCorp Raintree Pictures and Golden Village, opens in cinemas here on 4 Feb.

Wu Chun and Lee Byung-hun were at the 2010 Asia Model Awards last Friday. Both won for their respective countries. Wu was also taken aback and pleasantly surprised when the Korean superstar proposed that they work together in the future.

It was the two’s first meeting, but due to a common passion for hitting the gym, the musclemen continued chatting after leaving the stage.

Wu said that when it comes to acting and experience, he has a lot to learn from his counterpart, but when the topic came to their physique, the member of Taiwanese boyband Farenheit assumed more confidence.

“His figure is quite good, but we’re different. He’s toned, while I’m bulky.”

Lee, who showcased his six-pack in his Hollywood debut G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, later invited Wu for a possible future collaboration.

Fans will be able to see Wu’s well-defined midsection when the movie 14 Blades opens here in February. The Daniel Lee film will mark Wu’s move to the silver screen, as he sheds his pretty boy image to become a tough pirate.

In fact, the question of whether he would reveal much of his famed sculpted body was the topic of a fierce debate during the movie’s pre-production. His character roams the deserts, therefore logically he should be neatly wrapped.

His sound bite? “Catch the movie to find out.”

The Bruneian native’s star in Korea now cannot be higher. His idol dramas Hana Kimi, Romantic Princess, and Hot Shot all received high viewership in Korea, and he’s touted as the most influential celebrity in the Chinese-speaking market.

He also said he’s very touched that having not visited Korea for a year, there was nevertheless massive fanfare and media attention for him last Friday.
