Calvin: Another meaning of “Super Hot” is that we are filled with passion towards our work, same as in the beginning, and we still work very hard in our performances. In this MV, the 4 guys showed off their muscles, and trained hard before shooting the MV. Also, the MV has a “Towel Battle Dance”. Calvin jokes, “We take a longer shower nowadays, because we feel like dancing when we take the towel.” Jiro adds, “Ever since becoming a programme host, Calvin likes to crack cold jokes, please ignore him.”

During the MV filming, Calvin pulled down his shirt to reveal more muscle, and was teased by the other three for wanting to capture the limelight, Calvin explains, “Although I usually exercise, when the company told us 2 months ago that we’ll need to showcase our physique for this album, Aaron and I feel very pressurized in front of Chun and Jiro, so we had to do many push-ups. And every time Chun says he didn’t train, in the end when I last walked into Chun’s hotel room, he was moving the sofa.”

Jiro: “You saw Chun moving the sofa? Once I saw Chun moving the bed, he said he’s retrieving a biscuit.” Everyone burst into laughter upon hearing this. Jiro adds, “Just joking. But Chun moving the sofa to retrieve a biscuit did happen before.”

During game time, Chun and Jiro were teamed against Calvin and Aaron. Calvin challenged the other two, saying that Chun and Jiro had brawn but no brains. Later upon hearing that the 2nd game involves eating ice-cream, Calvin said, “Oh no! They’ve got Chun, we’ll definitely lose!” Everyone thought that Chun’s team would win the ice-cream eating contest, but surprisingly, Calvin and Aaron won. A big eater, Chun was also surprised at his loss in a food-eating contest. He said, “I eat a lot, but eat slowly because I want to appreciate the taste of the ice-cream.”

The crew prepared raw oysters for the winners. After eating them, Calvin and Aaron claimed that they had gained lots of energy and there was no problem with doing more work or 200 push-ups at home. While saying that they don’t mind not eating, Chun and Jiro were smacking their lips and looking on in envy, much to the amusement of others.

When asked about the possibility of going solo, Jiro said that they had been asked that so many times since their debut that they had gotten used to it. They had grown much from their experiences in the entertainment circle, and that Fahrenheit is a group that develops in many diverse areas. Aaron adds, “Fahrenheit is in our 5th year. Everyone has gradually become an artiste in his own right, but together we’re still Fahrenheit, and this will not change.”

Previous news indicate that the company has plans to groom Chun into a second Takeshi Kaneshiro. Chun says modestly that there is no such plan, and he merely likes acting. His group-mates jumped in to help deflect the question. Jiro says that he would like to become a second Takuya Kimura, Aaron says he wants to become Asia Ironman, but Calvin couldn’t think of anything to say and was teased whether he wanted to take on Wu Jian-Heng who is similarly hosting a Korean music programme. Calvin immediately and nervously denied it, saying, “Brother Jian-Heng is a senior that one should learn from, ok?”

Fahrenheit is holding a mini-concert this weekend in Taipei. The 4 guys said that they will present a very exciting performance for fans, and in accordance with the album name, the more fans attending, the more clothes they will take off, promising to give fans an audio-visual enjoyment.

It has been 8 years since my mum left me …

There have been good and bad things which we believe will not happen to us but eventually, some bad things still come. I guess that’s the reason why there is a saying “Expect the unexpected!”

8 years without my mum by my side, I have learnt to live stronger year after year.

Fear does not stop me from trying …
Hardship does not stop me from giving up!

I have accomplished things never would I have expected to accomplish in my life and it is truly a miracle to me …

My desire to open the best Health Club in Brunei,
My on-going challenges to become a better actor and a singer,
My willpower in dealing with all sorts of pressure coming from showbiz environment despite staying along in a foreign country,
My sacrifice of leaving everything back home in Brunei,
And the special relationship we ‘together’ have created for each other!

All these miracles will not come about without the influence and guidance from my mum. Since the day she left us, I told myself I must not let her worry about me… I know it is impossible for us to communicate again but what I can do is to try my very best in everything I do in my everyday life and I always believe she can see it! Life could be unfair to her but I hope with my own effort, I could make it up to her as much as possible by being a better person and hoping to teach others to love and cherish before it’s too late!

From the moment I found out my mum has got cancer, the determination to explore every possibilities became stronger and stronger and though I did not manage to help her at the end of the day, she still made me realize that never giving up might not give us what we want but we will live life with less regrets!

You know what… I was a very competitive basketball player in my younger age… I remember her telling me that in every competition I don’t have to win all the time as long as I have tried my best! She don’t want to see me angry and she wanted me to understand it’s not a big deal to lose! Back then, it was not easy for me to do that but after she passed away, winning or losing is no longer a big deal to me and I think this is the biggest achievement i ever had as I am not afraid to ‘TRY’ anymore! I’m not saying I don’t mind losing because who doesn’t wanna win after they have done their best, right? However, it hurts more coz when you lose, you are just making your life more miserable and yet, it’s not going to change anything at all

Learn from me, learn from my mum

Oh yeah, the recent Shanghai Pond’s event made me really happy …
All the efforts towards charity from my guardian angels really touched my heart! We contributed more than RMB 250,000 and it is truly a team effort by all of us… There is a saying “一人一半﹐感情才不會散!” [share half with another, relationship will be stronger] I love doing things like this together and though I couldn’t go back for my mum’s death anniversary, I have done what she has taught me to do and the best thing of all is experiencing it with all of you! Simply wonderful… Thank you all

Last of all, I’m extremely tired lately and I only slept for less than 15 hours in 6 days due to tons of work! A bit frustrated because this kind of work hours is not only unhealthy and inefficient, I know my mum will be extremely worried and unhappy should she be alive and I felt really bad! Well, I know there is nothing I could do now but I hope things will get better sooner or later

On 29 Aug, Chun appeared in Shanghai for Pond’s charity night auction. In response to media questions about Fahrenheit splitting up, Chun denies the rumours with an awkward smile. Seen as the most popular in the group, the media asked if Chun had plans to go solo, and Chun replied, “No. It’s just the media writing this way. We release our albums one at a time. We hope to put our best in each album. This album has some differences from our previous ones, so hope that everyone will look forward to it.”

Chun, who is always keen on doing charity, says that he always does not have the time to do what he wants to do, so he feels happy to have the chance to do charity work during his work. Chun says that his habit of doing charity is influenced by his mother. “From the time I was 10 years old, my mother was someone who likes to do a lot of charity work. She would often make donations under my name to people who need help. She has influenced me since I was young. So in your heart, you’ll think naturally that this is something you ought to do.”

Recently, many groups are in the throes of splitting up, and rumours of Fahrenheit splitting up keep circulating, but Chun denied it. “Actually, we are releasing our new album next month, so we are always together, practicing our dance and shooting MV. We look forward to our new album, and don’t think so far ahead.”

Such split-up rumours are not entirely groundless. Wu Chun went solo in acting in movies, and he displays an ambition in developing his movie-acting career. Some media even reported that Chun aspired to be the successor to Takeshi Kaneshiro. Chun says, “No, I’m still pretty much a newbie. I feel that I need to accumulate acting experience slowly, and maybe I’ll take part in another movie end of this year. To me, every step is a learning process, because I really don’t have much experience.”

“Super Hot” MV

After a long 1 year and 8 months, Fahrenheit will release their new album “Super Hot” on 17 Sep. This time, Fahrenheit put in everything they could! The last album “Love You More and More” was rock style, and this time the new album uses fashionable digital music dance element, as evidenced in their first hit song “Super Hot”.

In the midst of their extremely busy filming and hosting schedule, the four guys took time to learn the “Towel Battle Dance” from renowned dance instructor Zhang Sheng Feng who especially choreographed this hot, energetic and sexy dance. The “Towel Battle Dance” was added in the middle of the song, which made the dance more interesting. After going through the experience of holding 13 concerts, Fahrenheit has shown much improvement in their dance and also learned new dance moves very quickly. They learned almost all the dance moves on the 1st day, and Instructor Zhang praised them for their improvement and effort.

However, due to the rigorous dance steps, Fahrenheit found it hard. Jiro’s knee injury returned and needed ice pack treatment. A body-building enthusiast who likes to train with dumb-bells, Jiro joked that he could not even raise his hand; Calvin was too absorbed in the dance and pulled his thigh muscle; Chun who was busy filming had to sacrifice his sleep to shoot the MV; Aaron had a mild head concussion during an accident in filming and after resting for less than a day, he displayed a professional attitude in enduring dizziness to practise dancing. Fahrenheit’s professionalism earned praises from all the work crew. Fahrenheit says this is all for the sake of letting fans see a different Fahrenheit!

HIM engaged Taiwan director Bill who used the contrasting elements of fire and ice to film the MV. Early on the day of shooting, Fahrenheit filmed the singing parts first against a plain background, although the director requested them to convey the impression of “more and more hot” in their acting style. Their attire consisting of fashionable see-through shirts, it was Fahrenheit’s first time trying a more sexy look on-screen, with slightly parted lips, electrifying eyes and moves to pull at their clothes. The director commented that they were becoming more manly!

Next, to film breaking out of ice and perspiration scenes, Fahrenheit challenged their sexy limit since their debut by removing their see-through shirts. The make-up artist put cooling jelly on their half-naked bodies and sprayed water on them. Before shooting, Jiro and Calvin did sit-ups and push-ups in the studio, hoping to present their toned muscles after much body-building training. The scene of the MV shooting resembled that of a shower foam advertisement, where Fahrenheit took turns to display their perfectly sculptured body in front of the camera. Female staff on the set were evidently hot-blooded at the sight, and said that Fahrenheit caused them to feel too hot!

After filming the singing part, Fahrenheit continued with the tough task of filming the dance. Because there were a total of 12 people dancing, the crew had to expand the stage to allow for camera requirements. Fahrenheit had to perform the dance more than 50 times to allow the director to capture different angles!

Towards the end of the song, Fahrenheit had intimate dance moves with the female dancers, and the female dancers even slid through between the guys’ legs. Wu Chun was very shy and kept asking his team-mates, “Were my actions and facial expressions just now very strange?” Luckily, after the director’s reassurances that his performance was fine, Chun was able to let down his guard and perform better!

The dance moves included many intimate actions with female dancers, which made Aaron nervous in the beginning. He said, “This is different from the gentlemanly dance moves in the concerts, and gives more room for imagination!”
Calvin adds, “The intimate moves include touch the dancers’ legs, butt and breast. I was a bit shocked when I first heard this – it’s totally hot-blooded!”

After shooting the MV continuously for 18 hours, it was daybreak and the end of the shoot, but Chun, Calvin and Aaron had to rush for their drama filming and did not even had time to rest, while Jiro had to go for band training with Dong Cheng Wei to prepare for another TV programme. The work crew, while empathising with the guys, were really impressed with Fahrenheit’s professionalism and dedication to their work.

Besides Fahrenheit showing off their body and dance moves in “Super Hot” MV, the fire and ice special effects will sure make fans hot-blooded. For this MV, not only did the four guys undergo intensive body-building training, they along with the work crew worked from 10 am to 3 am the next morning. After seeing the completed MV, Chun says all their hard work and exhaustion paid off and it was worth it.

Fahrenheit will hold a pre-album purchase fans meeting at Taipei University Stadium on 4 Sep. The 2,000 admission tickets cost NT$700 each and will be on sale from 28 Aug at Rose Records Taiwan, all outlets and on the internet. The fans meting will be like a concert in terms of the stage, equipment and special effects. On the night of 19 Aug, Fahrenheit participated in “Perfect Moment” concert organised in Hong Kong by jeweller Chow Tai Fook. Performing artistes included Huang Xiaoming, Li Zhuoting, Huang Ling and Taiwan popular group Fahrenheit. However, the concert hall was only 70% filled.

Huang Xiaoming sang 2 fast songs and had a troupe of sexy dancers performing with him. When Huang sang a Cantonese song, his inaccurate pronunciation evoked some laughter from the audience. Huang is about to act in a movie with NBA stars and is practising basketball.

Fahrenheit expressed that they were looking forward to this performance. Earlier, the four guys were busy with their own work. Despite a half-year performing break in Hong Kong, they have been practising songs and dance together, so they don’t have to worry about rapport.

Fahrenheit announced that they will release their 4th album in September, and come to Hong Kong in October for album promotion.
