Okay, I know that this is a little late, but for the benefit of those who can’t read Mandarin and can’t buy Chinese magazines of Chun because of distance reasons, here’s something for you, guys!

Exclusive Interview of Wu Chun  from Contemporaty Pop Music Vol.458 :

Part 1: Looking at Wu Chun from his lifestyle quality
R: Are the current renovation and design for your gym all your own ideas?

C: Yes

R: In the process, which aspect did u persist on?

C: I’m a very persistent person. If I want a design, I will definitely design it like how I wanted it. I’m persistent for everything. Everything in the gym has to go according to my plans. The same applies to my room.

R: Which is your favourite part of the gym?

C: My gym has a lot of glass amd there are words on the glass. I like words, those words can encourage people. So other than mirrors, I feel that adding the words would be meaningful.

R: Is your room big? What is the style of your room?

C: It’s very big. The style is simple and comfortable. Wow I really miss my room now. A part of my room is specially meant for books, like a library. I like to read books. There is a table and a computer. There is also a hall where I can show movies. I like audio, so I’ll buy a lot of audio system, and a massage chair, to enjoy.

There are 3 sets of tv in my room hahaha…  I feel that home is the most important place.
Because I’ll be staying in this room for 20, 30, 40 years, so I feel that if I wanna renovate, I must renovate it nicely at one shot, so I won’t have to renovate again within a short time.

R: Is the floor of the room tiled or carpeted?

C: There is wood flooring and carpet.

R: Are the lights of your room specially designed?

C: Yes, I specially planned for the lights. In fact, my room has a number of varying coloured lights. But they are mostly towards yellow, no white. The intensity of lights can all be changed.

R: What special decoration in the room will let people know it represnts Wu Chun once they see it?

C: There are many Jordan stuffs, that should be my typical style. And cars…. I will display my favourite Jordan and car stuffs in my room.

R: What is the first thing you do when you wake up?

C: Look at handphone for messages, switch on the tv, I want the room to have some noise. Many people need to use skincare products when they wake up in the morning, I feel that it’s a waste of time so I’ll tune in to CNN for news. I do it every morning.

R: What is the first thing you do when you get home?

C: Do you mean other than switching on the lights? I have a practice now. I’ll remove my contact lens once I get home. Coz previously, contact lens have brought me quite a bit of trouble, so now, once I see the post-it on my door, I will remove my contact lens first, then switch on the tv.
(A worker said “Wash hands! you missed out washing hands!”)
C: Of coz I washed! I like cleanliness okay~~

R: Which is your favourite gym work-out

C: Ah! talking about this, it has really been a long time since I’ve worked out. Now I’ll just train some of my weaker areas. I don’t want to be buff anymore.
R: What do you think you lack?

C: A lot. Now I’m more inclined towards training my chest. Actually the chest muscle is also categorised into top, middle and bottom. I would always want to be better.

R: Have you ever thought of placing gym equipments in your Taiwan home?

C: No, because it’s too small.
R: When you bathe, do you like to shower or soak in the bath tub?
C: Shower
R: Any requirements for water temperature?
C: Yes. I don’t like too hot, but it can’t be too cold either. It’s quite difficult to cater to me. Previously we had a tourism board endorsement, we had to film a scene in the hot springs, it’s too hot I can’t go in, it’s too cold I can’t go in either. I can only accept a temperature which is just right. I kept insisting with them for very long, and told them to add in more cold water. (Manager: ” We planned the filming to take up only half an hour, in the end we filmed for almost 2 hours!”)
C: hahahaa yes! Becoz I can’t accept the water temperature.
R: What kind of scented shower cream do you like?
C: Lemon, Lavender
R: Do you like listening to music when you bathe?
C: Sometimes. Sometimes I will sing.
R: How do you feel after buying your new car?
C: When I’m back in Brunei I will drive it everyday. Let me tell you, it’s really different when you’re there and when you’re not.
R: I’ve seen it, fans have taken pictures and shared them online.
C: Really? How can it be?
R: Really! sometimes red sometimes black.
C: Really!? hahaa! It’s such a waste if I don’t drive it after I buy. So I’ll grab any opportunity to drive one round everyday.
R: Now your carplates are your birthdate. Would you like to change to any other numbers in future?
C: Actually, carplates like mine are not expensive, hahaa, if you change to ‘8′ or something, it’ll be more expensive. In future I would like a ‘23′ carplate. Jordan!

Part 3: Looking at Wu Chun from his lifestyle attitude
R: Roughly, how often do you clean your house?

C: At the most 2 days and I’ll clean up. I’ll clean up whenever I have the time.
R: Because you have a thing for cleanliness?

C: Not really, I feel that the home should be comfortable, clean and tidy.
R: What’s mostly in your room?

C: Clothes and shoes. I kept packing them and shipping them to Brunei. In this line, we’ll always have an excess of clothes.

R: Will you choose a specific timeslot to watch tv?

C: Actually I don’t really watch tv. Most of the time I’m just listening to the audio. I’ll just tune to CNN to listen to the news. My dad told me, we must know what’s happening around the world, so now I’m used to it. It has been a few years already. I will switch on the tv to listen to CNN. I think I should be quite aware about things which are happening around the world hahaa!

R: What do you do when you’re online?
C:  I don’t play online games, I don’t chat. At the most I’ll use email to communicate a bit.  I’ll go to my blog to read fans’ messages. If not I’ll just do my own stuffs. I think I don’t have much entertainment now. I don’t have time. I bought lots of DVDs, but I don’t have time to watch them. If I have time I would be a person who loves to watch DVDs.

R: Do you deal with celebrities’ names in your handphone specially?

C: Yes. I will type whatever I thought of. It depends on what I thought of at that moment.

R: When you buy handphone, what function do you consider?

C: Can’t be too small, I’m afraid that I will drop it easily. It must be easy to type messages. I don’t like the touch screens these days, they don’t feel good. Actually, I can type very fast.

R: Your current ringtone is?

C: Silent mode

R: Do you like talking on the phone for a long time?

C: All right, not very often.

R: How often do you call home?

C: About 5 to 6 times a week. Not always to my dad, sometimes to my sis and brother.

R: What is your best dish?

C: I have a lot! Hahaa! It’s been a long time since I’ve cooked. But I feel that I’m getting better at steak these days. Recently I’ve been eating steak, so I’ve ‘studied’ a bit about it. Moreover, beef is expensive, can’t waste it.

R: Which is your favourite dish?

C: This is difficult, they are all nice! Maybe still Brunei cuisine… I grew up there, but still, sometimes I’ll miss Brunei’s food.

R: Recommend a food?
C: Indian pancake. Previously, fans followed me to Brunei and found out that I like to eat an Indian pancake at the airport. But I’ve discovered a new one, it’s the best in the world! If there’s a chance, everyone must try it.

Part 4:
Reporter’s notes: I watched the full version of 14 Blades trailer before Wu Chun himself. My first thought after watching was, “WOW! So HANDSOME!!!” It’s a different kind of handsome compared to his usual self. I can really feel the attraction emanating from his bones.  He’s very focused and had put in a lot of effort to act the ‘Judge’ which he understood. He’s suave, fierce and difficult. Hence, I asked out of curiousity if he had watched the full version of the trailer. He shook his head and complained, “Not yet~ , just saw a little. It’s not satisfying! I really wish to find out how did I fare.” I really like his expressions when he talk about something, those anticipation, confusion, you can really feel that he used his entire heart to love his job. Listening to his story, it’s as though we’re repeating what happened at the desert. All these are considered a learning journey to him.

From 14 Blades… (Part 1)

R: Heard that you had many horse riding scenes in 14 blades, did you have special training for that?

C: Yes, I was specially trained. At Yin Chuan, I practiced every day. I feel that the most important thing in horse-riding is not to be afraid. Luckily I’m not timid. You must be bold enough to control the horse. Kick it when you’re supposed to kick it, and when you’re supposed to stroke it, you must show your good intentions through stroking. I was very excited, coz I’ve finally learnt how to ride a horse. I can ride very fast. But I still can’t pose a very handsome pose on a horse.

Actually it’s very frightening on top of the horse. Coz horses have temper. Some horses will just simply dislike you and keep creating opportunities to make you fall. The first time I rode on a horse, the horse even bit me! It kept turning its head over to bite me. That time I still don’t know how to ride a horse, hence they told me, I have to think of ways to communicate with the horse, to develop a relationship with the horse, to pat and stroke it lightly. But at that time, I just don’t know how. Moreover, that particular horse was really naughty. After that, the crew arranged another horse for me. The new horse was more well-behaved.

R: What do you understand about the character ‘Judge’ after you have finished filming, compared to when you first read the script.

C: Initially, I thought he was a person with a casual and careless attitude, someone who do things slovenly, but after filming, I think he’s a calm person who is actually quite smart. Even though he doesn’t really know if the things he’s doing are considered right or wrong, but his judgments are always right, including his life. Previously, he was a person who would do whatever he wants to do. There is a logic behind it. So in the end, when he’s made his decision and be a man of principle, he helped Donnie Yen with all his heart.

Earlier when we were filming the first scene at HengDian, everyone, like me, couldn’t grasp the feeling of this character. After we finished filming, the director told me to look at it, and we discussed it, the feeling wasn’t right. After that, the 2nd scene, I was already at Yin Chuan. In between there was a short period of time, I kept looking at the script and grasping Judge’s character. When it was time to film, I felt that I can get into the character and I have a new level of understanding towards this character. The director decided to re-film the first scene. After the re-film, the director was very satisfied. It was what he wanted. So from the beginning till the end, I feel that there’s a different level of understanding towards the character.
