[January 05, 2010] HIM Artistes Gather for Year-End Dinner, Don in Gold & Sillver to Celebrate the Lunar New Year

HIM Records is into its 10th year, and held its grand annual year-end dinner in Taipei the day before, to show appreciation to its dedicated workers. As HIM always value their end-year celebration very much, and in order to allow all artistes to attend, they have scheduled for the event half a year ago, resulting in rejecting many commercial performances and publicity activities. HIM spokesperson said, “Our company values the tradition of holding the year-end dinner very much. This is possibly the only time within a day all our artistes can gather for a celebration. Hence despite the opportunity costs involved, we have to reject many performance invitations.” On the day of the celebrations, Judy Zhou Ding Wei was having high fever and flu, and had to even go to the hospital to be put on drip. But he still rushed back to the celebrations to show his support. Although he was not feeling well, he still put on a good performance to bring up the mood of the event.

Many sources said that Koo Hye Sun is collaborating with Fahrenheit in making a MV entitled “Touch Your Heart” for the Taiwan Tourism Board. Are you guys familiar with who Koo Hye Sun is? If not, she is famous for her work as Gum Jan Di in a Korean remake of Meteor Garden (originally in Taiwan) aka Boys Over Flowers.

Wow! Isn’t this girl lucky? If in BOF, she is only lucky with one guy, but with Fahrenheit she’s got all the cards on her hands. It’s like hitting 2 birds in one stone; in her case, 4 birds in one stone.

In regards to rumors about the group being on bad terms and news of them disbanding, Fahrenheit responds, “We’re used to it, so we might as well not respond. A group will always go through these sort of things.” It is a fact that the popularity of each member is different, but all four members express, “This is good competition. We will only know what’s good and bad when there is comparison.” They emphasize that they won’t be jealous of each other even when they work as solo artists in the future. Fahrenheit will be releasing their 4th album in August and after that, they will have only one more album left to complete their contract.

Fahrenheit gives away “scented towels”, makes 80-year old grandmothers go crazy

Idol group Fahrenheit is promoting their concert DVD and held an autograph session. They signed thousands of DVDs until their hands were sore, and even their crew had to help massage the hands of the singers/actors. Calvin Chen joked, “I am so tired of signing I don’t even want to use a credit card anymore!” At their year-end banquet, the members each donated at least $50,000 NT, explaining that they had promised that the more DVDs sold the more they would donate. After a staggering 50,000 DVDs were sold, they were happy to match that amount by their donations.

Fahrenheit invited to shoot the Chinese New Year Coca Cola MV, creating a New Year and a new beginning

Recently Coca Cola’s 2010 Chinese New Year’s commercial officially go on show. Fahrenheit participated in the shooting of this commercial and starting from mid- January it will be broadcast in major cities across the country, finally allowing audiences to see. Unlike the previous New Year commercials, the audience watching from their TV screens not only will they be able to enjoy the festive cheer that Fahrenheit will bring on New Years Eve, but they will also interact with Fahrenheit through the web, allowing the completion of the Coca Cola 2010 Chinese New Year MV “The first taste”

Two of Taiwan’s famous bands, S.H.E. and Fahrenheit team up again for Meng Niu,  a milk product. The two groups have already made commercials/CFs in the past years regarding the product and now this year, they will be shooting yet another CF.

My sources said that Fahrenheit and S.H.E. are now in Guangzhou (for 4 days) to shoot the ad.

On January 2, 2010 Fahrenheit had an autograph signing event for the pre-order version of their Fahrenheit’s Fantasy concert DVD. Because they haven’t had public outdoor activities for a long time, both local and overseas fans filled Hsimenting’s Dianyi Street. Wu Chun, from the media’s request, sang a few lines of 愛拚才會贏” (a song in Taiwanese, Ai Pan Cai Hui Ying).

Fahrenheit’s first world tour concert series “Fahrenheit’s Fantasy” started in 2008 in Hong Kong. In more than a year, nine cities hosted 13 concerts, and the four guys were nervous at the start and have since blossomed in stage charisma, during the process allowed fans to follow their growth. As the Fahrenheit four prepared for the concerts, not only did they give energy, hard work and dedication to improving their talents, but in the course of these 13 concerts, they became wounded soldiers, enduring the pain in order to complete the concerts.

ETTV news reported that popular boy band Fahrenheit, singer Cyndi Wang, and Alex To (杜德偉) were among the singers who were suspected of lip-syncing in their performances. In the Taipei countdown, Fahrenheit performed a light saber dance during their song “Superb” (出神入化). The camera caught Wu Chun with his headset knocked off his face, but his voice was still perfectly audible. Wu Chun refuted the accusations and said, “That part was sung together by everyone, I wasn’t the only one singing. It’s just that the camera happened to be on me.”

Fahrenheit member Wu Chun was suspected of lip syncing at the New Year celebrations, on the 2nd during their autograph session for their concert DVD they once again denied the claims and he even sang a couple of lines of ” 愛拚才會贏” (you must fight in order to win) to prove that he can sing live.

After Fahrenheit had finished singing for the New Year’s party, Wu Chun quickly rushed to the restaurants before they closed to buy a big New Year’s set meal to return home to eat. Calvin Chen laughed at his love for food “I even asked him to play Texas poker, but he refused saying he had to return home to eat.” Since it was the holiday season, oversea fans were present at the autograph session, Fahrenheit also stated till the end of the event their company will prepare them sushi, dumplings and chicken to feed them at any time to help replenish their energy.
